TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

DEFINITION
Participants – the person who takes part in our skateboarding session
Mylittleboarders – The company providing the session
Westway Sport Centre – mylittleboarders’ preferred venues
Westminster Academy – mylittleboarders’ preferred venues
Four Feather’s Youth Club – mylittleboarders’ preferred venues
Royal Oak – mylittleboarders’ preferred venues
Cantelowes – mylittleboarders’ preferred venues
Camden School for Girls – mylittleboarders’ preferred venues
Venue – used for our Afterschool Club or Private lesson
Other Venues – used for teaching skateboarding by mylittleboaders

AFTERSCHOOL, WEEKEND, HOLIDAY CLUBS AND PRIVATE LESSONS

1. Mylittleboarders provides skateboards, pads and helmets which complies with Health and Safety standards. We strongly recommend that all participants who use their own equipment ensure they comply with Health and Safety standards.

2. Helmets and all pads must be worn at all times whilst in the skating area and by all participants, regardless of age, ability or activity.

3. All participants agree to conduct themselves according to the generally accepted rules of ‘skate etiquette’ whilst participating in any sessions and to take due care and attention at all times whilst in the skating area.

4. All participants will be put into groups according to their ability. Mylittleboarders instructors use their expertise and observation to base such a decision.

5. The children who sign up for our Skateboarding club are advised not attempt to ride ramps or perform manoeuvres they feel are beyond their skill level. An instructor is at hand to check whether that child has the ability and positioning to attempt that ride / manoeuver. If instructions ignored or attempts to try something new may lead to injury to that child or others.

6. In the interest of safety, beginners and those new to ramp riding should take time to familiarise themselves with the ‘rhythm’ of the skate area before venturing into the main skating area. During busier sessions it is recommended that such participants stick to the designated beginners’ area. Likewise, experienced participants should avoid using the beginners’ area other than at the discretion of our skateboarding instructors during any skateboard session.

7. Each member of staff hold an up-to-date DBS certificate and several Skateboarding Instructors hold a recent First Aid Qualification and have taken Safeguarding course.

8. Parents accept that at times there will be physical contact between the instructor and their child in a professional and safe manner.

9. For safety and hygiene reasons no food or drink should be brought into or consumed within the skating area.

10. No throwing of objects, including helmets, skateboards, etc. in the skating area (Afterschool and Weekend Clubs) or anywhere inside the Royal Oak Skate Park/ Westway Sports Centre/ Westminster Academy (Westbourne Green Sports Complex) arena or any other venue mylittleboarders teaches in.

11. Participants agree to abide by instructions given by the skate park supervisors, staff and stewards at all times.

12. Parents/spectators are usually not allowed to accompany the child on this particular club run by mylittleboarders. However if a parent/spectator does wish to watch their child please give mylittleboarders 24 hours to arrange. We would require this request in writing or email.

13. Mylittleboarders does not hold any responsibility for the health and safety of parents / spectators at any venue, unless injury caused is due to our proven negligence.

14. Children booked on to any of our skateboarding club are covered under our public liability.

15. In an event of an injury mylittleboarders uses a standard protocol used in first aid training. This document is available to view online.

16. In the event that our skateboarding club is cancelled due to illness of instructors / limited numbers of children or bad weather a suitable date will be offered. Alternatively a full refund will be made. The refund will refunded based on how the initial payment was paid. Mylittleboarders can offer a credit note if requested.

17. CANCELLATIONS (including child sickness).

  • We require at least 48 hours notice of cancellation before the day your child is due to attend the club to issue a 100% refund. The refund will come with a £5 admin fee.
  • We require at least 24 hours notice of cancellation before the day your child is due to attend the club to issue a 50% refund. The refund will come with a £5 admin fee.
  • No refunds will be made for those who don’t turn up to the club. No refunds will be made for those leaving the club prematurely.

18. If a child develops an illness during the session that we feel is detrimental to their ability to skateboard, or the illness is contagious, we will remove them from the group and phone the carer to pick them up. No refunds will be available.

19. Whilst mylittleboarders endeavours to run the club as to the descriptions given in the Welcome Pack and on the website, occasionally from time to time the structure of the club; venue; or timings may vary. If these reasons are within Mylittleboarders control, a full explanation will be given prior to the club. If these reasons are outside Mylittleboarders controls, an alternative lesson plan / venue / time will be arranged.

Cantelowes Skate Park is an outdoor skate park and whilst we endeavour to teach at this location, if the weather deems it unsafe to skate, we will use our back-up venue at Camden School for Girls inside their hall. This will be street skateboarding not skate park skateboarding.

20. Mylittleboarders assumes no responsibility for the damage, loss or theft of any personal belongings brought into the facility. Personal items should not be left unattended anywhere in or around the venue (Afterschool or Weekend Club); Royal Oak Skate Park/ Westway Sports Centre / Westminster Academy premises (Holiday Club) or any other venue mylittleboarders teaches in.

21. Failure to abide by these generally accepted terms and conditions or to falsify consent information will result in refusal of entry.

22. The management reserves the right to refuse entry at any point and to change the terms and conditions of entry.

23. You recognise the high risk of injury involved with participation in the various sports undertaken at any of the session you attend and whilst Mylittleboarders and the venue (Schools); Royal Oak / Westway Sports Centre / Westminster Academy / Cantelowes / Camden School for Girls / other venues do their upmost to protect our participants you agree for your child to participate at their own risk.

24. You agree to waive all liability claims against mylittleboarders or the venue at which your session is taking place including Royal Oak Skate Park / Westway Sports Centre / Westminster Academy, Cantelowes, Camden School for Girls / other venues its directors, employees and volunteers for any injuries, ailments or other damage to your child whilst using the skate parks other than due to our proven negligence.

25. Mylittleboarders is committed to providing high quality children’s holiday club / afterschool and weekend club. If you or your child is not entirely satisfied with the service we provided, then we would like to know about it. The complaint should be made to the Managing Director who will deal with it as quickly and effectively as possible.

26. Please refer to our Data Policy on how your data is uses. We don not pass your details to any third party.

HOLIDAY CLUB

27. Mylittleboarders has members of staff accompanying the children from Royal Oak Skate Park to the Westway Sports Centre by PUBLIC TRANSPORT. WE also accompany the children from Cantelowes Skate Park to Camden School for Girls by foot. We use Ofsted guidelines on staff to child ratio.

28. For a nominal fee mylittleboarders offers a pick up and drop off service from Richmond Station, Ealing Broadway, Goldhawk Road station, Shepherd’s Bush and St Michaels and All Angels Church, Chiswick. Mylittleboarders has members of staff accompanying the children from each of these destinations to Royal Oak Skate Park / Westway Sport Centre / Westminster Academy (Westbourne Green Sports Complex) and back again by PUBLIC TRANSPORT. We work according to Ofsted guidelines on staff to child ratio.

29. For a nominal fee mylittleboarders offers a pick up and drop off service from Richmond Station, Ealing Broadway, Chiswick (Gunnersbury Tube Station). Mylittleboarders has members of staff accompanying the children from each of these destinations to Cantelowes Skate Park / Camden School for Girls / Westminster Academy (Westbourne Green Sports Complex) and back again by PUBLIC TRANSPORT. We work according to Ofsted guidelines on staff to child ratio.

PARTIES

Client – The person booking the party hereafter referred to as ‘The Client’
Mylittleboarders – The registered company providing the party
Westway Sport Centre – mylittleboarders’ preferred venues
Westminster Academy – mylittleboarders’ preferred venues
Four Feather’s Youth Club – mylittleboarders’ preferred venues
Royal Oak – mylittleboarders’ preferred venues
Venue – client’s preferred venues

BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION

1) By paying the deposit you have read and accepted our T&Cs which are sent over by email and are found on the website. All Bookings are provisional until mylittleboarders has received 50% deposit.

2) The session is set to a period of time which is agreed at time of booking. If the session overruns there will be a chargeable cost of £20 per/10 minutes. This is down to the discretion of mylittleboarders whether it will be applied or not.

3) If the party starts late due to the client, the session will have a shorter duration than agreed in the booking. It is down to the discretion of mylittleboarders to make up any time lost if it is possible.

4) If the party starts late due to mylittleboarders, the session will overrun to make up any time lost and at no extra charge.

5) A 50% deposit is required at time of booking and the remaining 50% due 3 days before the party. If the second part of the deposit has not been paid mylittleboarders has the right to cancel the party and return the first part of the deposit with any costs accumulated by the booking such as venue, travel and admin costs taken off.

6) The prices quoted in the email or shown on the website are a guideline. Extra costs might accumulate up until the end of the party which will be added onto the invoice.

EQUIPMENT

7) mylittleboarders provides skateboards, pads and helmets which complies with Health and Safety standards. We strongly recommend that all participants who use their own equipment ensure they comply with Health and Safety standards. Mylittleboarders will not take any responsibility for any misdemeanours that occur with participants who use their own equipment, unless injury caused is due to our proven negligence.

14) Participants agree to abide by instructions given by the skate park supervisors, staff and stewards at all times.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

7) Each member of staff hold an up-to-date DBS certificate and there is at least one member who holds and up-to-date First Aid Qualification.

10) Parents/spectators are permitted to stay however due to Health and Safety parents/spectators are not allowed to help the children on a skateboard

11) Mylittleboarders does not hold any responsibility for the health and safety of parents / spectators at either venue, unless injury caused is due to our proven negligence

12) Parents or guardians of the birthday child must accompany their children and their friends for the duration of the party. No child is to be left unattended or unsupervised.

DISCLAIMER

13) All participants have to sign a disclaimer form before participating in this activity. If a disclaimer form has not been signed, mylittleboarders will refuse entry. This disclaimer can be signed by the parent or host of the party.

14) The Client recognises the high risk of injury involved with participation in the various sports undertaken at Royal Oak Skatepark / Westway Sports Centre / Westminster Academy (Westbourne Green Sports Complex) / Four Feather’s Youth Club and whilst mylittleboarders and Royal Oak / Westway Sports Centre / Westminster Academy / Four Feather’s Youth / Cantelowes Skate Park / Camden School for Girls and any other venue mylittleboarders teaches in.

15) The Client agrees to waive all liability claims against mylittleboarders or Royal Oak Skate Park / Westway Sports Centre / Westminster Academy (Westbourne Green Sports Complex), or the client’s chosen venue, its directors, employees and volunteers for any injuries, ailments or other damage to your child whilst using the skate parks other than due to our proven negligence.

CANCELLATIONS (including child sickness)

16) Mylittleboarders reserves the right to close or prohibit the use of any facilities, at any time if the facilities are deemed to be unfit for use. If the venue is one of mylittleboarder’ s location and the circumstances are outside of mylittleboarder’s control, an alternative venue will be offered or where possible the party will be rescheduled. All monies paid in advance for the booking that are cancelled by mylittleboarders will be refunded if rescheduling isn’t possible.

17) If the venue is NOT one of mylittleboarder’ s location and the circumstances are outside of mylittleboarder’s control, mylittleboarder’s reserve the right to offer an alternative venue, rescheduling or refund any of money already paid.

18) CANCELLATION NOTICE
• 13 days – 7 days’ notice of cancellation full refund but the refund will come with a £25 admin fee
• 6 days – 48 hours of cancellation – 50% of the full booking price retained by mylittleboarders
• Less than 48 hours’ notice of cancellation 100% of the full booking retained by mylittleboarders.

No refunds will be made for those who don’t turn up to the club. No refunds will be made for those leaving the club prematurely

All cancellation by the customer must be made in writing by post or email.
